does anyone have any advice on how to start a relationship at Trinity? the guys that i am meeting at parties keep not working out

My solution is this: don't try to meet people at parties, for the purpose of anything more than a hookup one night stand sort of thing. Most people are drinking at parties, so you don't meet the "real person" but rather his/her drunk personality. That and you're often just being targeted for hookups. Also, there's the fact that you're probably drinking and thus not using your best judgment.

Hang out with people around your dorm. Do some extracurricular activities, during which you can meet people with whom you have an instant connection via that activity. Ask that guy in your class if he wants to study with you. Then you can get to know him personally before you make a move, rather than just making out with him (or more) and being disappointed and bewildered later on.

Hey at least you realize the need to change. Some girls don't realize their are looking in the wrong spot until years down the road. My advice don't hook up with anymore guys until you find someone you think you can trust. A lot of guys will just use you for sex or a hookup and then leave you feeling shitty. The nice guy you hope to meet, will not like the fact that you've been around the block and it may screw things up in the future. Good luck and don't fall for lies or manipulations. Give the less attractive guys a chance too, some have outstanding personalities and will look at you as more than another notch on the bedpost. If you don't want to sacrifice attractiveness it's understandable. Im rather handsome myself, or so ive been told, and im a genuine person.

Hopefully you can find a guy who won't judge you for that. I love my girlfriend and she's been around. Nothing wrong with that. All that matters is that it doesn't continue while you're together.
