A Thought Experiment...

Here's a little thought experiment I thought of.

An airplane is sitting on a GIANT treadmill. The plane's engine gets going, telling the wheels to start spinning. However, before the plane starts moving, the treadmill spins at the same speed in the opposite direction. Does the plane leave the ground?
