As I was circling the parking lot today right outside Murchison, I witnessed a man in a gray suit get out of one of the unmarked Trinity "Security" Car. He proceeded to the corner of the brick wall near the Spurchison side and pulled out a camcorder. He leaned against the tree, out of sight to most view points, and filmed an open door on the first floor of the building. As I continued to drive around he moved on.

Any explanation for a creepy man with a video camera looking through students doors?

Are you sure he belonged to Trinity? Why not report it?

I have seen the unmarked car, even though it looks like a cop car, and it is Trinity's

Is this the head of security, who sometimes wears a suit? Short stocky guy with a mustache? Perhaps he's getting video evidence of students leaving their doors open/unlocked...

Pretty sure that's what camermen are for.

If this is the case, students should start following the patrols around and videotape every single bit of it.

I don't appreciate how they make us live on campus for three years and take away most aspects of privacy. I understand you sacrifice your privacy if you leave your bedroom door open, but I don't believe that one should be allowed to videotape it from a discrete location.

I am curious as to what he was doing. I mean making some kind of safety video about not leaving your doors open/unlocked on moving day is a fairly likely explanation, but I'd rather the question be asked the the correct answer be found than people just ignoring police monitoring dorm activity and potentially over stepping their bounds. This isn't a major incident or anything, but any student should be somewhat suspicious of an unknown individual with a camcorder outside student dorms. This kind of activity deserves an explanation, and I think that is really what this post/forum should be going after. That being said, is there any way to contact DCS or get a statement from the school regarding this affair?

You're kidding, right? " Doing his job"? Discretely taking videos of our dorm? By the way, this super-slueth is so incompetent he got caught. Must be a school official.

All you dumb faggots keep using that word, "discretely."

Maybe he's a cop and they're trying to enforce security measures? Maybe it's training for other cops, seeing if they can catch the 'pervert' or 'thief casing the area' or whatever?

You guys jump to conclusions and just want to be fed information. Who says you deserve it? All I see are a bunch of fudgepacking assholes clambering around mob-style looking for something that doesn't matter.
